Just finished watching all of Season 1 of #TwinPeaks. This show is a trip and a half. The town is shaken by the death of this young girl, Laura Palmer, and everyone is looking guilty by some means. The town itself is full of weirdo's, cheaters, stalkers, double-dealers, and voyeurs.

We have Agent Dale Cooper(Kyle MacLachlan) called in, who himself is an eccentric dude, going from one minute asking about the trees in the local area to that coroner's report. On top of it has a mad love for coffee and pie. But most of all a keen eye for detail and really makes the show interesting, even as he kind of keeps an upbeat perspective.

What really shines through is his more or less, as he called himself, Watson to all this: Sheriff Harry S. Truman(Michael Ontkean), who's there to be the local support to the FBI agent in town.

This is a who-did-it sort of story, but with the sort of I can only guess unique or oddball style of David Lynch that lends itself to this whole thing being uniquely done as it is.

This first season is full of its own twists and turns and almost Scooby-and-the-Gang antics, as even friends of Laura are trying to find answers to who her killer was. This is a show I think you have to see it to believe it sort of thing, and I won't spoil it, but I will say it's worth the watch; it got me hooked from the pilot, and damn did Season 1 end with a surprising bang! I wanted to hold off on starting Season 2, but I might just have to jump in.

What I will say to close this, I finally understand SOOOO many video game references now. The inclusion of certain elements and where it all came from. My favorite was realizing the soaps in Max Payne 1&2 were homages to Twin Peaks and shown more as Sam Lake did that an ofcourse was the developer of Alan Wake.
